Cookie Policy
Plain version: a few cookies keep the site working, some measure how it is used, and some measure our ads. We name every tool and show you how to turn the optional ones off.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser, and "tags" or "pixels" are small bits of code that do a similar job. Together they let the site remember basic things, stay secure, and measure traffic. This page explains the ones Ranked HVAC uses, who runs them, and how to turn the optional ones off. This page is part of our privacy policy.
The three kinds we use
We group what we use into three buckets:
Essential
Always onThe bare minimum that keeps the site working and safe. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site, and they do not track you across other sites.
- Cloudflare. Hosts the site, keeps it fast, and protects it from abuse and bots. Sets security and performance cookies.
Measurement (analytics)
On, opt-out availableHelps us see how the site is used so we can make it better. We only load this on the live site, not on previews. You can opt out.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Counts visits and shows which pages help HVAC owners: pages opened, rough location, device and browser, and how you arrived. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Advertising
On, opt-out availableMeasures which ads bring HVAC owners here, and helps us reach similar HVAC owners. We run these on the live site, and they share personal information with Meta (and Google when enabled) for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out, and when you do we share nothing.
- Meta Pixel. Measures ad results from Facebook and Instagram and helps build audiences. With Advanced Matching it sends Meta your email, name, and phone, hashed, alongside Meta's _fbp and _fbc browser ids.
- Meta Conversions API. Sends conversion signals to Meta server to server, alongside the pixel. It sends your email, name, phone, and billing city, state, ZIP, and country, all hashed, plus your IP address, device and browser (user-agent), the _fbp and _fbc ids, and the deposit amount. Some of this comes from your Stripe billing details at checkout, forwarded hashed.
- Google Ads. Measures ad results from Google, when enabled.
How to opt out
You have a few ways to turn off the optional cookies (measurement and advertising):
- Turn off advertising cookies here. Use the button below to switch off the advertising cookies (the Meta Pixel and Google Ads) on this device. It takes effect right away, on every page, and stays off until you turn it back on.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies in its settings. The site still works without them; some measurement just will not happen.
- A "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends one, we honor it as an opt-out of measurement and advertising cookies where applicable.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that stops GA4 from measuring your visits across sites.
- Ad settings. You can manage ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings, and through industry opt-out pages.
- Ask us. Email legal@noontide.co and we will help you opt out.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do share it for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act, through the Meta Pixel, the server-side Meta Conversions API, and Google Ads when enabled. Use the control below to opt out of that sharing on this device. Turning off advertising cookies stops the sharing through the pixel and the Conversions API alike; we also honor a Global Privacy Control signal as this opt-out.
Advertising cookies are on for this device.
Your browser is already sending a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, so advertising and measurement cookies are off for you. This control only changes the advertising cookies on this device.
A note for California residents
We share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act, through the Meta Pixel and the server-side Meta Conversions API (and Google Ads when enabled), even though no money changes hands. The categories we share include identifiers (email, name, phone, and cookie and click ids), internet or network activity (IP, device and browser), and commercial and transaction information. We hash the customer identifiers first, which does not exempt them from "sharing." You can opt out by turning off advertising cookies here, by using a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal (which we honor, as we do a Do Not Track signal), or by emailing legal@noontide.co. When you opt out, we share nothing for advertising. See the California section of our privacy policy for the full detail.
Changes
If we add or remove a tool, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This page and our privacy policy name every tool we use, including the Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and the Meta Conversions API.
